The Oslo Women’s Rights Initiative
OWRI unites governments, NGOs, and grassroots movements to address extreme gender inequality. It meets annually in Oslo, hosting a public event in partnership with the Nobel Peace Center and Civita, featuring women human rights leaders from its network. A private workshop follows, where members collaborate on solutions.
Supporters include The Oslo Media House, The Grieg Foundation, Fritt Ord, Ingrid Stange, Jan Vardoen, Grand Hotel, and The Thief Hotel.
By bringing together diverse perspectives, OWRI develops sustainable solutions to advance women’s rights.
